Cognigy Awards 2025
COMMON TERMS USED IN THESE RULES: These are the official rules ("Official Rules") that govern the Cognigy Awards contest promotion ("Contest"). In these rules, "we," "our," and "us" refer to Cognigy GmbH ("Cognigy"), the sponsor of the Contest. "You" and "your" refer to an eligible Contest entrant, and "your company" refers to the Cognigy customer (i) that you represent or (ii) on behalf of whom you have submitted your entry.
The purpose of this contest is to recognize customer representatives who excel at using Cognigy services. Entries will be judged based on specific criteria outlined below. Each submission made to the Cognigy Awards contest will be referred to as an "entry." Entry eligibility will be determined using the criteria in Paragraph 4. All eligible entries received will be judged using the criteria in Paragraph 7.
The contest begins at 12:01 PM CET on October 15, 2024, and ends at 11:59 PM CET on January 15, 2025 (the "Entry Period"). Entries must be received within the entry period to be eligible. Any entries received outside of those dates will be disqualified. Cognigy may, at its sole discretion, extend the contest end date for a reasonable period.
You are eligible to enter this contest if you meet the following requirements: You are a Cognigy Customer; You are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; you are NOT an employee of Cognigy; you are NOT a government employee; you do NOT work for a company that prohibits acceptance of the prize (exception optional prizes Free-Round-Trip and Cognigy Produced Video Story); you are NOT involved in any part of the administration and execution of this contest; and you are NOT an immediate family (parent, sibling, spouse, child) or household member of a Cognigy employee, an employee of a Cognigy group company, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this contest.
You may submit an entry with respect to your company or with respect to another company. If you submit an entry with respect to another company, you agree to receive approval from that company to submit the entry and to make the statements made in these "Official Rules" on behalf of that company.
To be eligible for judging, an entry must meet the following requirements: Your organization must be an active user of Cognigy.AI with a running license agreement (exception entry submission for the Newcomer Champion which also accepts Pilots with no active license). A representative of a Cognigy Partner (signed Partner Agreement) may nominate a user of Cognigy.AI. A Cognigy employee may nominate a Customer of Cognigy.AI.
Nominations must be submitted via the Cognigy Awards website intake form. No hard-copy nominations will be accepted. The online nomination may be augmented by supporting materials to assist judges in determining how well the nominee meets the criteria for the selected award. If including supporting materials, please also send these with the online nomination. You must have obtained any and all consents and approvals required for you to submit your entry; and your entry must not otherwise violate the rights of any other person or company by using their trademarks, sound, logos, names, images, or other intellectual property without their written consent.
In addition, an eligible entrant must be able to (i) agree, on behalf of your company, to accept the prize(s) (refer to #9) – all written announcements will not be published prior to consent.
Other than what is set forth herein, we are not claiming any ownership rights to your entry. However, by submitting your entry, you, on behalf of yourself and your company, are granting us rights to: (i) create with your entry and all its content promotion materials for all media, including customer success stories (now known or later developed), prior to publication you or your organization has the right to review all materials and withdraw right to publication. (ii) Understand that we cannot control the incoming information you will disclose to our representatives in the course of entering, or what our representatives will remember about your entry. By entering this contest, you, on behalf of yourself and your company, agree that the use of information in our representatives' unaided memories in the development or deployment of our products or services does not create liability for us under the "Official Rules" or copyright or trade secret law; understand that neither you nor your company will receive any compensation or credit for use of your entry, other than what is described in these "Official Rules." If you or your company do not want to grant us these rights to your entry, please do not enter this contest.
To submit your entry, fill in the nomination form.
We are not responsible for entries that we do not receive for any reason, or for entries that we receive but are not decipherable for any reason. We will automatically disqualify: (1) any incomplete or illegible entry; and (2) any entry that does not meet the nomination criteria (refer to rule #4).
A panel of Cognigy judges will review all eligible entries received and select, at their sole discretion, winners who are excelling at their use of Cognigy.AI. The decisions of the judges are final and binding. If we do not receive a sufficient number of entries meeting the entry requirements, we may, at our discretion, select fewer or more winners. In the event of a tie between any eligible entries, the tie may or may not be broken by an additional judge who will judge the tied entries based on the criteria listed above.
Public Announcement & Trophy
Winners will be announced at the Cognigy Experience Summit 2024, receive a personalized trophy, and appear in Cognigy news and on social media. Winning use cases will be spotlighted at the Nexus 2025 incl. badge honor. Partners who handed in Nominations will equally receive Badge Recognition and be publicly announced as winning partners.
Exclusive Seating
Winners receive a front-row-seat reservation at Nexus 2025 for main stage presentations.
Cognigy Produced Video Story (optional prize)
Winners have the opportunity for a professionally produced video story by the Cognigy Video Team.
Free Round Trip (optional prize)
The winning organizations will be awarded one paid trip to the Nexus 2025 (round-trip premium economy airfare, event access, and 1 night hotel stay) to Duesseldorf, Germany. Cognigy will only cover trip costs for one fully paid trip to Nexus 2025 for one person per winning organization.
If, for any reason, the advertised prizes are unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a prize. Each winning organization of this contest: (1) may not exchange the prize for cash or any other merchandise or services; (2) may not designate someone else as the winner. If the organization is unable or unwilling to accept the prize, Cognigy will award it to an alternate winner. If you or your company do not want any of the listed prizes, please do not enter this contest.
In February 2025, Cognigy will determine contest winners and will notify within seven (7) days, following the selection by sending a message to the email address provided in the nomination form. Cognigy will publicly announce winners at Nexus 2025 in Duesseldorf, Germany. If the winner is unreachable for any reason, Cognigy may award the prize to an alternate selected winner.
By entering this contest, you agree: (1.) to abide by these "Official Rules"; (2.) to the extent allowed by law, to release and hold harmless Cognigy, its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, from any and all liability or any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest or any prize won; (3.) that Cognigy's decisions will be final and binding on all matters related to this contest; and (4.) if you consent to a written announcement that, on behalf of yourself and your company, Cognigy may use your company name online and in print, or in any other media, in connection with this contest, without payment or compensation to you or your company.
Additional Requirement for Winners' Video Interviews
Winners will be notified prior to the event ceremony about their winning use case and category in February 2025, along with a meeting link for the interview. They will need to invest 30 minutes in a recorded session to describe their winning use case in a 3-minute video. This video will be showcased during the award ceremony.
If someone cheats, or a virus, bug, catastrophic event, or any other unforeseen or unexpected event that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled (also referred to as "force majeure") affects the fairness and/or integrity of this contest, we reserve the right to cancel, change, or suspend this contest. This right is reserved whether the event is due to human or technical error. If a solution cannot be found to restore the integrity of the contest, we reserve the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received before we have to cancel, change, or suspend the contest.
Individual winners will be directly contacted as described above and will be publicly announced, at Nexus 2025 in Duesseldorf, Germany.
